ELLIGABILITY & APPLICATION CRITERIA – AGOONOREE 2024
The following outlines the eligibility requirements for attending Agoonoree. Attendance criteria are in place to ensure everyone has an opportunity to experience the best of this event safely. The Queensland Agoonoree reserves the right to reject applications that do not meet these criteria.
- I am able to self care for myself without assistance?
- I am a financial member of Scouts QLD or Girl Guides QLD
- I am able to provide supported care to children with additional needs?
- I am able to attend the whole camp 14 – 20 September 2024 (if not please email Chief Director Libby Hotham)
- I understand that Agoonoree is about giving back to youth with additional and special needs?
- I will live and abide by the Scout and Guide Law whilst at Agoonoree?
Scouts and Guides
- Scouts and Guides must be 12 years old by September 14, 2024.
- Must be able to self care without assistance
- Help welcome and provide support children to with additional needs in their Patrol/ Troop.
- Must be considered by their parents/guardians and Unit Council to be of both sufficient maturity and good behaviour to successfully participate in the event.
- Able to be a friend & have fun
All Scouts and Guides will be allocated to troop lines

Venturers and Ranger Guides
- Venturer Scouts and Ranger Guides must be at least 15 years old by September 14, 2024, and under 18 years old before September 20, 2024.
- Must be able to self care without assistance
- Help by running activities, assisting with services, and in troop-lines, helping guests with personal hygiene issues and mentoring PLs and APLs.
- Be recommended by their Group/ Unit to be of excellent character, a good role model to Scouts & Guides
- Able to work, be a friend & have fun
Venturers and Guides aged under 15 years old will be allocated to Troop Lines into a patrol. Venturers and Rangers are placed in Troop Lines, Activities, or Services

Rovers, Olaves, and Leaders
Rover Scouts, Olave Guides, and Leaders must be at least 18 years old by September 14, 2024. All campers over the age of 18 must have a Positive Notice Blue Card valid until at least September 21, 2024, and have completed the minimum training requirements for camp.

- Help by leading and running an activity base for campers, or work behind the scenes in services, Quarter Master, or Leader Catering or in Troop-Lines where you may be asked to help guests with toileting, personal hygiene, dressing, or eating.
- Be recommended by their Group/ Unit to be of excellent character, a good role model to younger Youth Members.
- Be of sound health in order to cope with the physical requirements of the event.

2024 Camp Fees
Under 18 – Scouts & Venturer Scouts | $330 |

**Unfortunately due to a GST change all Guiding members must now pay a GST on Agoonoree attendance fees.
In the event of an event cancellation, Agoonoree and Scouts Queensland will refund financial participants as much as possible. Agoonoree does recommend campers to have their own personal insurance.
All transportation to and from Agoonoree is the responsibility of campers. To discuss further please email Chief Director Libby Hotham.
Special Diets
*To ensure we can properly cater for special diets all dietary requirements that cannot be self-managed will incur at $40 fee to cover additional costs. Participants who can self-manage the special diet and avoid intolerance’s themselves will not be charged the $40 fee. The additional fee can be added to your application before your hit submit.
Registration
The Scout Association has implemented a consistent process for applying for events, including Agoonoree.
Click below to access the registration system. If you have registered for an event through the system before, simply log in. If not, register as a new user.
Once you are logged in or registered, the events you are able to attend will appear. Select Agoonoree and complete the form. You will be asked to attach a passport-style photo to the application. Please note in 2024 a photo with your applications is a must. Please remember this will be printed on your ID so if not suitable rethink your image. If you don’t provide a photo your application won’t be able to be approved.
When you have completed the application, make sure to submit it. At this point, please also arrange for payment. This can be done through the Status page of your application.
When your application is received by the committee, they will review the application and approve (or not approve) the application depending on the circumstances. Once approved or not, you will be advised
Please note applications will only be approved and processed by Administration after payment is received. Any paid unapproved applications will be refunded.
