ELIGIBILITY & APPLICATION CRITERIA – AGOONOREE 2026
The following outlines the eligibility requirements for attending Agoonoree. Attendance criteria are in place to ensure everyone has an opportunity to experience the best of this event safely. The Queensland Agoonoree reserves the right to reject applications that do not meet these criteria.
- Must be able to self care without assistance.
- Current financial registered member of Scouts Queensland or Girl Guides Queensland.
- I am able to attend the whole camp (if not, please email chief.agoonoree@scoutsqld.au)
- I have read and understood the eligibility and training requirements to attend the event.
- I understand that Agoonoree is about giving back to youth with additional needs or are disadvantaged.
- I will follow the Agoonoree Code of Conduct.
- I will live and abide by the Scout and Guide Law whilst at Agoonoree.
Please note applications will only be approved and processed by Administration after application is submitted and payment is received. Any paid unapproved applications will be refunded.
Scouts and Guides
- Scouts and Guides must be 12 years old by the start of Agoonoree.
- Must be able to self-care without assistance.
- Help welcome and provide support to children with additional needs in their Patrol/Unit.
- Must be considered by their parents/guardians and Unit Council to be of both sufficient maturity and good behaviour to successfully participate in the event.
- Able to be a friend & have fun.
All Scouts and Guides will be allocated to unit lines

Venturer Scouts and Ranger Guides
- Must be at least 15 years old by the first day of Agoonoree and under 18 years old before the last day. (If turning 18 on camp, please email admin.agoonoree@scoutsqld.au to discuss arrangements)
- Must be able to self-care without assistance.
- Help by running activities, assisting with services and in Unit lines, helping guests with personal hygiene issues and mentoring PLs and APLs.
- Be recommended by their Unit Council to be of excellent character, a good role model to Scouts & Guides.
- Able to work, be a friend & have fun.
Venturer Scouts and Ranger Guides aged under 15 years old will be allocated to Unit Lines into a Patrol. Venturer Scouts and Ranger Guides are placed in Unit Lines, Activities or Services

Adults (Rover Scouts, Olaves and Leaders)
- Must be at least 18 years old by the first day of Agoonoree.
- Must hold a current Blue Card that does not expire during the Agoonoree.
- Must have completed the minimum training requirement (more info here).
- Be recommended by their Group and/or Unit to be of excellent character, a good role model to younger Youth Members.
- Be of sound health in order to cope with the physical requirements of the event.
- Must be willing to serve in any role as determined by the Agoonoree Organising Committee.
Including leading and running an activity base for campers or work behind the scenes in services or in Unit Lines, where you may be asked to help guests with toileting, personal hygiene, dressing or eating.
For Scouting Members:
- All Scouting members attending Agoonoree need to have completed the following mandatory On Demand modules:
- WHS for Scouting
- Child Safe Scouting
- Code of Conduct
- Selection for certain roles will require applicant to hold specific training qualifications such as a Woodbadge, prior to Agoonoree.
For Girl Guide Members:
- Must have a valid National Police Check.
- All Girl Guide members attending Agoonoree must have completed the following modules:
- Adults in Guiding CSCF Module
- Introduction to Neurodiversity Module
- Signed Code of Conduct and Confidentiality Agreement.
- Selection for certain roles will require applicant to hold specific training qualifications such as Qualified Unit Leader or Assistant Unit Leader, prior to Agoonoree.

2026 Camp Fees

**To be eligible for early bird discounts, your application must be fully submitted and paid by 11:59pm on Wednesday, 15th July 2026. Applications not submitted or paid before this date will pay the full camp amount (Non – Early Bird Discount).

Due to recent GST reporting changes members of Girl Guides Queensland no longer need to pay GST on camp fees.
In the event of an event cancellation, Agoonoree and Scouts Queensland will refund financial participants as much as possible. Agoonoree does recommend campers to have their own personal insurance.
All transportation to and from Agoonoree is the responsibility of campers. To discuss further please email Chief Director Jono Williams.
Special Diets
*To ensure we can properly cater for special diets all dietary requirements that cannot be self-managed will incur at $40 fee to cover additional costs. Participants who can self-manage the special diet and avoid intolerance’s themselves will not be charged the $40 fee. The additional fee can be added to your application before your hit submit.
Registration
The Scout Association has implemented a consistent process for applying for events, including Agoonoree.
Click below to access the registration system. If you have registered for an event through the system before, simply log in. If not, register as a new user.
Once you are logged in or registered, the events you are able to attend will appear. Select Agoonoree and complete the form. You will be asked to attach a passport-style photo to the application. Please note a photo with your applications is a must. Please remember this will be printed on your ID so if not suitable rethink your image. If you don’t provide a photo your application won’t be able to be approved.
When you have completed the application, make sure to submit it. At this point, please also arrange for payment. This can be done through the Status page of your application.
When your application is received by the committee, they will review the application and approve (or not approve) the application depending on the circumstances. Once approved or not, you will be advised via email.
Please note applications will only be approved and processed by Administration after payment is received. Any paid unapproved applications will be refunded.
